The Training & Trialing of a Cardigan Welsh Corgi
Derby City Agility Association
Corydon, IN
May 31st, 2008
Porter & I only ran on Saturday since I had to leave for Orlando on Sunday.
Porter with some of the contents of his "goodie bag."
On day 2 of agility, Porter really showed them what he's made of!
We finally got our Novice JWW title!
And our first leg in Open Standard!
And they even gave us a ribbon for a Double Q!
I just like his face in that one!
However we failed spectacularly in anything with weave poles. I actually excused ourselves from the ring a couple times each day.
But even when we didn't qualify, they still gave us ribbons!
I love how he's kicking up little dust balls!
Look at that big dust cloud behind him!
The butt shot.
And finally...
Proof that Porter can weave!
(But only when he wants to!)
6 poles in Novice JWW
And he's looking at me for where to go next.
12 poles in Open Standard
And he's watching me again.
We'll zoom in to show the power in the corgi's hind-quarters!
(This was the first time he's ever really pushed through the weaves at a trial.)
(And I'm happy to have a photo of it!)
Novice B JWW - Saturday 03/15/08
Our first legitimate leg in JWW! (He has one leg from the trial we ran in the dark, but he didn't actually earn it.)
